Acting within a global environment

Today, Tina Ambos teaches in the second year of our Geneva EMBA her module “Global Strategy”.

Our participants conduct a strategic analysis and market entry decisions in a global setting and take a holistic approach to the application of analytical frameworks and tools.

Why ? Organizations – both for-profit and non-for-profit – need to develop strategies for how to act in the global environment. This course aims to help participants develop strategic thinking in a global context. It introduces them to the domain of global strategy, helps to gain an understanding of the processes of strategy analysis and formulation, and provides them with an array of tools that can be used to assist decision making.

The aim of the course is therefore to help our students to answer the following questions:

  1. How can we make sense of the complex global environment?
  2. How to use strategic analysis for decision making in the global context?
  3. How to develop and implement strategies for different types of organizations?
