An excellent manager does not only know the fundamentals in business administration but cares, inspires, and leads responsibly and with integrity. Our Geneva EMBA is a program for a global, responsible, and transformative career. It provides executives with a first-class management education without interrupting their careers. The program is designed to balance theory and practical application, and combines classroom learning with interactive personal development. Our experienced faculty is aware of the need for today’s business leaders to develop and implement efficient operational solutions, while simultaneously ensuring the strategic renewal of their organizations. During the Geneva EMBA, participants are connected to leading executives and managers who provide practical insights to how they have been introducing and managing transformative changes, managing their business responsibly, and building global advantage.
The Geneva EMBA is a two-year program: In the first year, participants acquire the foundational knowledge and skills in business administration. In the second year, participants take advanced level courses with a focus on our three core themes: building a global advantage, leading responsibly, and managing transformation. At the end of the second year, participants work in groups on the EMBA Capstone Project, which brings together their acquired knowledge and skills to apply it to advance recommendations to local business in Geneva. Since 2006, the Geneva EMBA has been accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), one of the world’s leading authorities on post-graduate business education, demonstrating its continuing commitment to excellence in management education. With its continuous AMBA re-accreditation, the Geneva EMBA confirms itself in the top 2% of Business Schools globally.
Our Geneva EMBA participants are hand-picked professionals from diverse industry backgrounds – including the public and private sectors. On average, our participants have 8-12 years of work experience, 56% of our participants are female, and we have 10-15 different nationalities represented in our program each year. Our Geneva EMBA Alumni Association includes over 1,500 former participants and organizes regular networking events and workshops. The Geneva EMBA has been developing a strong professional network. Participants learn from their peers and build lasting relationships for their career. The Geneva EMBA offers participants an excellent opportunity to enlarge their professional network and develop career opportunities.
The program strives to develop successful and responsible leaders through a real-world learning experience. Throughout our program, our participants develop their interpersonal skills, the so-called soft skills. Amongst others, our participants learn and apply how to manage with emotional intelligence and train group resilience, acquire cross-cultural management and leadership skills, and practice how to successfully work in teams and foster team engagement. Through the EMBA Capstone Project, our participants develop a strong sense of collaboration with their EMBA colleagues. The Geneva EMBA experience represents an important catalyst for our participants to move up the ladder and/or to change career paths. It is challenging work – but it is also a once in a lifetime learning experience.
